A new benefits program for writers
A new benefits program is available to writers who are members of a dozen organizations, including the Canadian Writers Group. The program is administered by ACTRA Fraternal.
The great thing about this program is that premium rates don’t go up the more you use your benefits, which is what happens with commercial insurers. That’s because ACTRA Fraternal is a non-commercial insurer so it can guarantee three years without rate changes. More information is available at www.writerscoalition.com under Benefits At a Glance. If you have questions about this new benefits program being offered to all poets, writers and artists, check out Susan Swan talking about the benefits program. Do something for yourself and the arts community. It’s about writers helping other writers. The more of us who join, the more cost effective our rates will be.
