2014 Dave Greber Freelance Writers Awards
Submissions are open for this year’s Dave Greber Freelance Writers Awards. The book and magazine awards have been given annually since 2004 for excellence in research and storytelling on subjects related to social justice.
The book award is for $5000 and may be split into two awards of $2500 each if two books of equal merit are submitted. The magazine award is for $2000 and also may be split into two equal prizes if the jury members feel there are two winning submissions.
To be eligible, applicants must be residents of Canada and spend 70% of their work time as self-employed freelance writers.
